Pastoral Care

At Campion Sixth Form we are very much aware that our students are hard-working young adults, juggling their education, exams, work experience, extra-curricular activities and preparing for post-18 life.

We understand the immense demands and sometimes overwhelming challenges faced during post-16 education, and we pride ourselves on the level of pastoral support that we are able to offer to our students. Through a carefully planned and robust tutor programme along with timely and sensitive intervention, our students build character, confidence and resilience as they progress through their time in Sixth Form.

Tutors are a key component in championing and encouraging our students. They will support you in settling into your new environment and in managing your time effectively whilst closely monitoring your well-being and academic performance. Our students see their tutors every day, and they are the first point of contact between parents and the school.

We also prepare our students for life after Sixth Form through sessions on a range of PSHE themes such as healthy eating, drug and alcohol awareness, debating and personal finance. In addition, Tutor Time is used to manage attendance and punctuality, as both of these are key to success in the Sixth Form.

In addition to their tutors, students are supported by the Sixth Form team:

  • Mrs Elliott, Associate Assistant Headteacher (Raising Standards KS5)
  • Mrs Stewart - Sixth Form Hub Manager
