Dear Parents and Carers

We are writing to inform you of important changes that we are making to improve traffic flow and ensure the safety of all students during drop-off and pick-up times.

Starting on Monday 4th November, we will be implementing a new drop-off area on the school site, designed to ease congestion around the school. This new area has been established with the following goals in mind:

  1. Improved Traffic Flow: The new drop-off area will significantly reduce the bottleneck of cars near the entrance, allowing for smoother traffic movement and less waiting time for parents. Please drop off and keep moving so everyone can filter through quickly.
  2. Enhanced Safety: With a designated area for student drop-off, we aim to minimise the risk of accidents that can occur when cars are stopping in undesignated spaces.
  3. Pedestrian Safety: Pedestrian walkways will allow for safer movement for people on foot. Please encourage all students, staff, and fellow parents to use the designated walkways and not to cross traffic lanes. Our zebra crossing must be used when crossing the main entrance road.
  4. Clear Signage and Directions: We will have clear signage and staff present to guide parents through the new drop-off process. Please follow their directions and drive slowly as you approach the school to ensure the safety of all students, staff, and fellow parents.

Important Reminders:

  • Please ensure that students are ready to exit the car quickly when you enter the drop-off zone to keep the line moving efficiently.
  • Be mindful of pedestrian crossings and always give priority to students and staff who are walking to and from the school.
  • Parking in the drop-off zone is not permitted.
  • Encourage pedestrians to use the designated walkways and zebra crossing.
  • Please always adhere to the 5mph speed limit on-site.

 

We understand that it may take a few days for everyone to adjust to the new system, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation. Our goal is to create a safer and more efficient environment for everyone.
